As announced by Marvel Comics, in honor of Fortnite’s latest in-game Marvel collaboration with Chapter 5 Season 4’s Absolute Doom theming, four all-new variant covers have been officially released by Marvel Comics. The covers act as striking and bold character portraits for the Fortnite and Marvel superhero mash-ups, including Peelverine, Captain Jones, Meowtooth, and Ghost Ri-Durr.
The character combinations mix classic Marvel heroes and villains like Wolverine and Sabretooth with Fortnite’s original cast of characters like Peely and Meowscles. From skins and NPCs in the game to gracing these gorgeous covers, the Fortnite collaboration with Marvel shakes up both brands.

"Absolute Doom" Available Now
The new Fortnite season being celebrated in the variant series is focused on the character that Marvel themselves have been prioritizing lately, Doctor Doom. The season has been titled Absolute Doom for his dominance over Fortnite’s updated map, with new locations like Doomstadt, Doom’s Courtyard, and Castle Doom, where you can fight and steal powerful weapons from a Doombot boss. Doctor Doom in Fortnite seems to have defeated the Fantastic Four for the time being, making disrespectful trophies out of their remains, like turning The Thing’s rock body into a throne and making a fireplace with the Human Torch’s heart.

Fortnite took the world by storm on its 2017 release, and it’s still one of the most popular battle royale games in the world despite stiff competition from Apex Legends and Call of Duty: Warzone. Like all games in the genre, the objective is to be the last player standing at the end, and one of the biggest differences is its tie-in characters from Star Wars and other popular franchises.
The game has fast-paced gameplay, and players must rush to find weapons scattered throughout the map. Where it differs from other Battle Royales is the building mechanic, which allows you to build fortifications to protect yourself from enemy fire and delay advancing opposition.
